Cliff practiced with his father, lawyer James A. (“Jim”) MacDonald, in The MacDonald Law Firm, PLLC, from 2005 until January 2020, when Jim retired. Cliff joined Hogue Hill as a Senior Associate Attorney in January 2020 and became a partner in the firm in January 2022. Cliff’s primary areas of practice are Real Estate Law including Commercial Real Estate and Residential Real Estate, Estate Planning and Administration, including Wills, Trusts, and Probate, Corporate Law, including formations of limited liability companies, corporations and other business entities, and Foreclosure. Cliff graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2002, and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 2005.
